Time Management.

.This workshop was to help inform us on how much time we waste throughout the week, by making us aware of the time we spend on certain activities would help in being able to manage it better. The first thing we did was to split the things we do during the week into categories

After this we took the categories and split them into nine headlines. After doing this we estimated how many hours we felt we did it per week. This was difficult to do as it was hard to get the hours to add up correctly. Some of the time slots shocked me but as I thought about them they were quite accurate. It was surprising how long I spent just chatting and socialising with friends, blogging was also very high.

I then moved on to create a to do list for the uni tasks I needed to complete. I often make them anyway as I find them really helpful in showing what needs to be done and breaking them down into more manageable pieces. I also like being able to tick off what has been completed as there is a sense of accomplishment and relief to see the workload going down.

Finally I wrote up a weekly planner to help my week run more smoothly and to help focus my time more successfully.
